Is Music Player really free?
The app itself is free. A free Puter account gets you started with cloud storage so you can try everything end-to-end. If you're going to seriously back up a real library, you'll want a Puter subscription for the storage — plans are simple, fair, and yours to own.
What audio formats are supported?
MP3, M4A/AAC, FLAC, OGG Vorbis, Opus, and WAV. Lossless formats stream at full fidelity — we don't downsample or re-encode your files.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Pin albums or playlists to your device for offline playback. The PWA also caches the app shell so it opens instantly even on a flaky connection.
Can I install it on my phone?
Yes — on iOS, tap Share → Add to Home Screen. On Android and desktop Chrome/Edge, you'll see an Install prompt in the address bar. It runs full-screen, just like a native app.
Who can see my music?
Only you. Files are private by default, encrypted at rest in your Puter account. Music Player has no analytics on what you listen to — there's nothing to spy on.
How does it compare to Spotify or Apple Music?
Different goal. Streaming services rent you a catalog. Music Player plays the music you own — including bandcamp downloads, rare imports, podcasts, and live radio — beautifully and for free.
